Synopsis:

In the late 1990’s the first – and to date only – all African-American synchronized swimming team emerged from Los Angeles and took the city rec leagues by storm. Led by a 17 year old dynamo, and supported by a fierce group of Mothers whose own experience with pools was marred by segregation, these girls burst into a predominantly white Disney-fied scene with hip hop beats, moves to match them and cornrows, long before the 2024 Olympics. These girls would go on to compete in the US National Competition.

SWAN SONG is the uplifting, upbeat, multi-generational story of the women who built an all African-American competitive synchronized swimming team against all odds.
